Sycamore Glen

Located in a wooded valley on the outskirts of Philadelphia, Sycamore Glen is a single-family home nestled among mature trees, overlooking Wister Creek. Bordered closely by neighboring houses to the west, the narrow site informed a linear organization and a careful balance of privacy, light, and views. Pix The house is structured around a series of parallel masonry walls that divide space, define rhythm, and extend beyond the envelope to articulate thresholds and terraces. The design and aesthetics of an office play a crucial role in elevating the brand image of the organization and creating a conducive and productive work environment for the employees. This office, located on the 9th floor of a corporate office tower building in a high-end business district of Ahmedabad city, is a family-owned financial services provider. The design brief for the team was to create a contemporary, progressive work space, in the 2120 sq ft of built-up area, through a low-maintenance and sustainability-driven design. Holcim + Norman Foster Foundation unveil homes for displaced people in the Venice Architecture Biennale

On the occasion of the 18th Biennale of Architecture in Venice, Holcim and Norman Foster Foundation inaugurate the Essential Homes Research Project. This T-shaped "clever" house is designed to accommodate the environmental sensibility of its occupants. Casa de Victoria, an eco-guest house near the coast of Bay of Bengal The project is designed as cluster of small studio units for long term visitors to stay in a nature friendly environment.  Ramya Prasad Site Planning The guest house comprises of 3 studio units connected by a small corridor with an avenue of existing trees on one side, which have been retaining. The building design has a large glass front, that blurs the lines between inside and out, and all academic and faculty facilities are planned around a central atrium.The primary staircase abuts the atrium space, and, apart from being a functional design, ends up being an all weather “social space”.The building is naturally ventilated, for keeping it cool during the warm season. However, the high performance glazing and UPVC fenestration system allows the building to be used in cold weather also, without being air-conditioned.Steel PEB is the primary structural framing, and deck slabs are provided for all floors. The site is a hide away, embraced by the Aravali Range with its greenery punctuated by quarried Rock, Kota village and the ITC golf course.The client being a golf enthusiast and having farming as a hobby, desired to use the place as a weekend getaway from his city life. Client’s brief was to create a farmhouse which would merge with its surroundings. Finishes were to have minimum required maintenance as the place would be used only once in a week.
