The main feature of this project is dynamism, both spatial and formal.Behind a rectangular volume there are many sloping lines. Surprises along the way are the result. Ethelett Distribution. The Urbane Mexico restaurant is on a corner, between a main street and a secondary one. Local regulations require not to build in a five-meter strip on the front of the property. We used this space as parking and access. We occupied the remaining surface with the two-level restaurant. The ground floor dining area occupies a third of this level. La Villa Degli Ulivi (Village of Olive Trees) is a luxury vacation house available to rent in Puglia, Italy. This eastern region is known for its extensive seacoast, fantastic beaches and superb Mediterranean weather with hot, dry, and sunny summers.  After a casual meeting with the owner during the Maison et Object fair in Paris, ALGA by Paulo Antunes was selected for this project. Footprint Architects were commissioned to provide an extension to an existing leisure centre in Bournemouth for BH Live. The proposal improves the facilities for the gyms existing members, providing space for additional equipment and classes, whilst allowing the client to keep up with its commercial competitors. The extension is clad in charred timber cladding, providing a varied palette of natural textures and tones in response to the surrounding pines, whilst concealed glazing minimises overlooking and the noise impact upon the surrounding area. This contextual design approach allows the extension to sit comfortably with the existing locally listed building. More
