Covering an area of approximately 43,500 sq.m., the building houses various clinics. A key requirement for this structure is establishing a connection between all existing buildings and the public road for patient access. It was the needs of patients, not fashionable trends, that had a decisive influence on the final design of this space. Migraine is a neurological disorder characterized by severe, throbbing, unilateral headache accompanied by nausea, photophobia, phonophobia. The causes of its occurrence are still not fully known. The project consists of the remodeling of a building in the historic center of the city, intended for the outpatient clinic of Hospital da Luz – Funchal.
