Moradia Moderna, Coimbra

On the outskirts of Coimbra, this contemporary villa is organized around two clear volumes: an upper mass in light-coloured render, cantilevered over the entrance, and a base in anthracite grey shielded by a timber slat screen that filters the view from the street. Inside, a central courtyard with an olive tree and a suspended staircase in steel and oak link the spaces with a light touch, letting natural light travel through the house from façade to façade. The aluminium framing, using the JT and LT systems, reinforces the continuity between the interior and the surrounding garden. www.silvaresende.com www.silvaresende.com www.silvaresende.com www.silvaresende.com www.silvaresende.com More

Condominium 4 Houses | Cascais

The condominium is composed of four houses located in Abuxarda, Portugal, developed from a layout that seeks to take advantage of the topography, solar exposure, and the existing natural surroundings. The ensemble presents itself as a contemporary architectural composition, marked by overlapping horizontal volumes, large glazed surfaces, spacious terraces, and a constant relationship between interior and exterior. The placement of the four residential units was designed in a staggered manner, allowing each house to benefit from privacy, open views, and its own outdoor areas, while maintaining the formal coherence of the whole. The overall reading of the condominium reveals an architecture of clean lines, where the rigorous geometry of the v... More

Moradia em Alvide

The philosophical concept rests on the idea of permanence and lightness: the house is implanted in the terrain and is formed by concrete slabs as if recognizing the memory of the place, respecting its presence and integrating it as the foundation of the project. João Morgado João Morgado The garden on the slabs emerges as an inversion of the traditional concept of fertile soil. Here, nature is not merely a support, but a conquest. Vegetation settles on the concrete, creating a dialogue between the organic and the mineral, between what grows and what remains. This garden does not seek to conceal the concrete, but rather to enhance it, allowing it to emerge and participate in the composition of the space. Jo&atil... More

Casa da Linha

The commission was clear: to design a singular dwelling, a future house and a true home. The plot itself, however, presented as an ordinary urban lot, regular and flat, without distinguishing features, facing a car-friendly street and set within a hybrid urban landscape, seemingly disordered and shifting depending on one’s point of view.Within this context, the act of designing proved demanding. The main challenge was to transform a place without identity into the central reference of everyday life for those who inhabit it, turning an undifferentiated urban plot into the one place one truly wants to live. Moradia em Albarquel

This project concerns a single-family dwelling set on a plot with a steep natural slope and a privileged view over a surrounding landscape rich in vegetation and close to a body of water. The layout of the house takes advantage of the topography, sitting on a partially suspended platform that provides a continuous visual connection with the horizon and subtle integration with the surrounding nature. Hra-Lisboa Hra-Lisboa Hra-Lisboa The architectural proposal is based on a volumetric composition marked by horizontal lines and overlapping planes, defining a contemporary, minimalist, and elegant language. The large glazed openings play a central role, allowing the fusion between interior and exterior, creating spacious, bright... More
