31 Apartment Complex

The plot is located in the residential area of Kyiv on the Left Bank of the Dnipro river. One of the advantages of the location is the developed infrastructure of the surrounding area. There are shopping malls and large supermarkets, educational and medical facilities, restaurants, fitness clubs and public transport stops within walking distance. In addition, there is a large green area around the lake with a renovated fitness park located really close.  The benefits of the site were the location in front of a large lake with a park area and the good infrastructure of the area: closeness to the school and subway, and a variety of retail. It makes the future complex way more attractive. The previous project did not take into account so... More

PUERTO BUILDING

Located on one of Valencia’s main avenues, connecting the city centre with the sea, the building occupies an awaiting plot of land with ideal conditions. A perfect rectangle, with its long sides facing 2 streets although with a very limited surface area of 200sqm.  Alejandro Gomez The program which wasn’t totally defined at the beginning, comes from the desire to respond to the plot’s ideal conditions and possibilities.  Alejandro Gomez The architectural intention that determined the layout tries to optimise the use of land and maximize the entry of light. Locating the access core in the middle divides the plot in two and minimises the common areas. Each half is divided again in two obtaining 4 units,... More

Southern Quarters

Southern Quarters is a large-scale renovation project in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Some of the wooden houses on the site were derelict or in the state of disrepair. Urban sprawl, proximity to the city centre and transport networks necessitated designing new, denser and more varied accommodation in the area. Brusnika launched the plot redevelopment project in 2018.   Dmitry Chebanenko The project master planning was accomplished by the international KCAP Architects & Planners. A triangular shape of the plot, with no street grid or building lines were the main challenges to be addressed. Housing Building Lisbon

This project aimed to build a low-cost housing building for rent that fit into the existing network and that preserved the identity of the place. It is not a question of refurbishment, nor is it intended to mimic a language. However, although with a contemporary attitude, a complete integration was sought in the urban set, so it was decided to maintain some of its characterizing elements, among which: the modulation in the opening of the openings, the geometry of the roof and materials that constitute the general image of the surrounding buildings. The proposal, as with the previously existing building, promotes the occupation of the entire lot through a rectangular polygon with a gable roof. Despite having an elevation facing Rua General M... 53 social housing units in Tours

This project in Tours (France) developed 53 social housing units distributed across three buildings sitting around an open block crossed by public alleyways. The varying size of the buildings and their adapted typologies (stacked townhouses, small collective units in one plot, and collective units) help ensure the change in scale from a main urban artery to the north and a more vernacular, residential neighborhood to the south.  Even though the various typologies create a diversity of volumes, the treatment of the façades is homogenous and stripped down; they are covered with white, enameled terra cotta tiles so as not to introduce too many different architectural styles around the adjacent chapel.  The collective buildin...
