The five-apartment apartment building is located in a green area of Budapest on a sloping plot surrounded by old trees. Respecting this natural setting it was built without cutting a single tree. It aims to combine the elegance, materiality, and personality of the local villas from the turn of the century with the functionality and modernity of the small-scale quality condominium architecture in a compact building. The architectural firm, Hello Wood – known for its unique cabin houses and builder festivals - has again designed a spectacular public installation. Placed in the centre of the Factory'ard in Veszprém, the Garden of Communities is an artwork that celebrates the rich culture of the Veszprém-Balaton region. When visiting Eszterháza and catching a glimpse of the castle, a visitor’s first impression will be the symbiosis of unity and grandeur. The majestic inner court and the median risalit that can be seen from the park almost entirely mask the characteristics of the previous building eras. The challenge of design was of interest to us from the aspect of clarifying the relationship with this property and the question of heritage which, when considered more closely, raised a series of questions. In 2014, we received a commission from Food Base Kft., manufacturers of aromas, to design their new warehouse and manufacturing plant in Gödöllő together with an office building. This office was also intended to be one of the key elements of the renewal of their corporate image. In the case of the office, we not only received the order to design the building but we were also commissioned to handle the plans for the entire interior design.Our clients asked us to design a simple and yet unique looking building with an imposing presence in the area of the industrial park. The individual admittance for tourists visiting the world heritage building complex emerged in the short-term objectives of the Benedictine Archabbey of Pannonhalma. The realisation of such a system includes individual information transfer and a new route for the visitors, without passing through the private areas of the Abbey. The Tourist Centre on Kosaras-hill still has preserved its welcoming function, however, after arriving at the Abbey,instead of walking through the main gate and the buildings of the high school, tourists now follow a forest path below the castle walls and enter through the New visitor entrance at the southern corner of Hóman bastion, getting directly to the main square in front of the Basilica. Logical additionsBuilt on a 12 x 120 meters property, the Sattler Winery – located in the center of the village Tadten in Austria’s Burgenland region – was strategically expanded and remodeled. The formerly heterogeneous structure of the building was transformed into a coherent whole, offering various views, angles and topographies that relate to the state of the sun, the surroundings and the inner courtyard. Different room heights and the arrangement of different climate zones make the buildings flexible in use.
