Abrisham Villa

Designed during the Covid-19 pandemic, Abrisham Villa emerged from a period when domestic life was being fundamentally redefined. Located in the mountainous landscape of Shandiz near Mashhad, Iran, the project was commissioned for a multi-generational family seeking a living environment that could accommodate both collective life and individual independence. see studio see studio see studio The site was subject to strict regulations, limiting construction to two floors and 40 percent site coverage. At the same time, the family envisioned a home deeply connected to nature, outdoor activities, and shared experiences. The project therefore began with a central question: how can a compact architectural volume remain open, flexib... More

pezoules house

Designed by Konstantinos Pittsas and KP Office, Pezoules House is conceived as a direct dialogue with its natural setting. Located on a steep and narrow plot, the residence responds closely to the terrain, orientation, and surrounding landscape, using architecture to frame and intensify the experience of the site rather than dominate it. The project’s sustainability strategy is grounded in minimal landscape intervention, passive environmental responsiveness, and the use of locally sourced materials that reinforce the connection between building and terrain. Chromatica

Intervening within the historic fabric of Padua requires a sophisticated mediation between the layers of memory and the desire for contemporary domesticity. This renovation project, developed over a surface area of 75 sqm, undertakes a distributive overhaul to maximize spatial usability, responding to the desires of an eclectic clientele—whose taste ranges from Pop vibrancy to refined retro suggestions. Caption The rewriting of the home finds its starting point in the definition of the horizontal plane. The choice of oak flooring laid in a Hungarian herringbone pattern is not incidental, but constitutes the generating matrix of the entire intervention: a strong and elegant geometric layout that, recovering the tradition of histo... Sectilis

In the center of Treviso, the interior design of the Sectilis penthouse is configured as an exercise in spatial rewriting that works on the balance between the geometric rigor of fixed elements and the superficial treatment of finishes. The intervention, developed over an internal surface of 122 sqm, addresses two distinct compositional themes: the management of long wall curtains in the living area and the geometric resolution of a sleeping area with an irregular floor plan. The living area is conceived as a fluid continuum, unified on the ground by sand-colored cement resin flooring that acts as a neutral and bright horizontal plane. Set upon this base is the project's true organizing device: ash wood. Moving away from the logic of mass-... More

Operaprima

The interior design of this penthouse is defined through an investigation into the continuity of living, where matter is not intended as a simple covering, but as an architectural device capable of enhancing and ordering the space. The intervention explores the theme of the open plan, replacing traditional wall partitions with a system of functional backdrops. The goal is to create an environment where the boundary between different domestic functions is perceived as a fluid transition, orchestrated by the tectonics of fixed elements. The expressive lexicon is dominated by research into the potential of natural stone. Travertine becomes the generating element of the surfaces, explored through different processing logics that change its tac... More

Agricultural Building in Bromont

Located a short walk from a contemporary residence designed by Cimaise in 2011, this agricultural building extends the owners’ living project into the landscape, anchoring it in a simple volume set at the edge of the forest. It reprises the rigor and material palette of the neighboring house while asserting its own presence through the composition of a timber volume housing the garage and a long glazed greenhouse facing the view, its base marked by a corten steel planter. Thomas Miau Thomas Miau The timber volume concentrates the garage and more technical functions, while the greenhouse stretches along the façade like a transparent gallery where the garden continues indoors. A slender steel structure, glass and wood... More

The Miller

Flashback to 2011 when the Millers lived in a 570sf beach cottage on a narrow lot.  We created a budget-friendly expansion by stretching the simple form, and they happily lived there for nearly a decade. When the family grew, they found a property in the same coastal community, a stepping stone from the last. The transition was easy for the kids because the last home inspired the new design. Ian Patzke What once was a simple form on a narrow lot became side-by-side forms on a wider lot. The stairwell in between separates private and public spaces and acts as a lightwell and thermal chimney to let hot air escape through skylights. We focused on low-maintenance materials that could withstand proximity to the ocean. Ian Patzke... More

House Serengeti

This villa is perfectly balanced with an application of earthy textures against high-gloss finishes, and raw material against refined elements. The home combines the use of rock, steel, wood and glass - classic modernist design elements re-mixed for new applications. The idea was to create a luxury family home with an ecologically sound design that maximizes indoor-outdoor living. The street front of the south entry, north facing home features a rusted-steel-clad wall, cleverly mounted on tracks so that it slides back to reveal the garage. Visual continuity is provided through the use of rusted steel frames around the entrance and upper level window frames. Balau was used for a wooden walkway from the street to the front door, which...
