The project involved the reconfiguration of the outdoor areas of an existing suite hotel complex. The aim was to repurpose existing areas and upgrade the overall space. Our goal was to provide an integrated user experience through the appropriate selection of uses. Caption First, we defined the entrance to the complex, providing a welcoming prelude to the experience that follows. Located at the foot of an imposing crag in the Barrio de San Juan, Malinalco, a region known for its lush vegetation and unique landscapes, the house takes full advantage of the singular views, harmoniously integrating both the natural surroundings and the existing country house, enhancing the connection between the inhabited space and the surrounding landscape. The swimming pool complex lies beside the entrance to the town of Fondettes, just a few kilometres from the city of Tours. The urban backdrop here is mainly residential with a housing estate. The site of the swimming pool complex is completely flat. It faces a roundabout that was recently built. Eugeni Pons The edifice plays the demanding role of signalling its presence while creating a new landscape. Its long white walls stretch afar and seem to reflect the skyline.
