New energy-neutral labor building (store) within the prison of Vught. The store is one of the labor facilities in the penitentiary complex. This building takes a special place within the penitentiary regime. It is a social environment where inmates can earn some extra money and gain work experience. Important considering their resocialization after serving their sentence. GROUP A designs the new industrial building for Quooker at the Nieuw Reijerwaard business park in Ridderkerk. With a lime hemp plinth facade and a distinctive silhouette, the factory complex stands out in its surroundings. The new logistics center is the first phase of the factory that will eventually bring all functions together under one roof in a comfortable work landscape. Fresh & Frozen, a leading company in Bulgaria specializing in temperature-controlled grocery warehousing and distribution, collaborated with IPA – architecture and more to design one of the largest temperature-controlled warehouses in the country.  The new logistics base covers an area of 9,500 sqm. The main building features a one-story volume for storage covering an area of 6500 sqm, along with a two-story administrative area spanning 3000 sqm. This landmark project is situated on a prime corner of the Boundary Park Industrial Park development in Northriding, Johannesburg. The site location, coupled with the tenant’s large staff compliment, led to a somewhat unconventional office to warehouse ratio of 60:40 instead of the more typical 90:10 ratio.
