Casa Azul is a six-bedroom private residence in Sobha Hartland, Dubai, completed in 2025. The house occupies a plot of roughly 15,000 sq ft and is arranged over basement, ground, first and roof levels. The design begins with a simple contrast: solid white volumes facing the street and a much more open composition toward the pool and garden. From the front, the house feels protective and measured, with narrow openings, deep recesses and a tall entrance set into the main elevation. Located on the northern edge of Kerman, Iran, this desert mansion explores a contemporary interpretation of traditional Iranian residential architecture, combining vernacular climatic strategies with a modern architectural language. The design is fundamentally shaped by the extreme desert climate and the traditional distinction between summer and winter quarters. The northern part of the residence functions as the summer residence, incorporating a traditional Badgir (windcatcher) as a passive environmental system. Located on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, this villa renovation transforms an existing beachfront property into a contemporary family residence shaped by light, water, privacy, and a precise black-and-white architectural language. The project begins with a new arrival sequence. Tall white architectural volumes frame a recessed black entrance wall, where the main door is concealed within vertical dark cladding. Rounded exterior corners soften the façade and introduce a sculptural detail that continues inside the home.
