Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion

Uniting previously disparate facilities within the heart of the University of California, San Diego, Health Sciences Campus in La Jolla, CA, the Koman Family Outpatient Pavilion establishes a new model for healthcare delivery within an academic setting.  CO Architects served as both the architect and interior designer for the project, which is the culmination of an unprecedented, multi-year expansion and development phase for the campus.    The 156,000-square-foot, four-story, $140-million facility is an infill building that supports the adjacent Jacobs Medical Center.  It comprises two masses connected by a public spine: Each mass is split by three-story light wells, resulting in an overall composition of four bars me... Lanchester Medical Centre

Lanchester Medical Centre has been finished in CUPA STONE innovative cladding system STONEPANEL™ to provide a traditional aesthetic for this new development in Lanchester (UK). A modern and sustainable building that meets the needs of the requirements of the smaller surgery that was located in the village. Edwards Architecture designed the project using BIM (Building Information Modelling). Completed in 2014, the building has been designed with the local environment in mind and finished in STONEPANEL™ Sahara to give a traditional finish which fits in with this protected area. Meander Hospital

In Amersfoort a beautiful modern hospital has recently been build. Through the use of 5000 m² timber cladding the Meander Medical Centre now has a professional and friendly appearance. Carpenters from Foreco Timber Constructions have mounted a framework on the outer wall to apply the timber cladding of Western Red Cedar. The external cladding received a fire retardant treatment of SafeWood® Select. Unique about this treatment is that it is a maintenance free fire retardant. Since some cladding has a hight of 42 meters this was one of the requirements of timber. More
