This 17-year-old space that has never been remodeled and pursued to become an appealing and easeful experience for users by creating a fresh and modern occasion that excites all visitors. Reconstruction of history They do not always build offices in new modern administrative buildings with doubled floor and modular layout system. Sometimes, the company decides to stay in their long-term headquarters and renovate it. Even if it has some bad predisposition and restrictions, but also it’s own Genium loci and history. The scope of the project was the refurbishment of the pool area and its adjoining facilities at the Khar Gymkhana in Mumbai. Though an opening up of the adjoining café and extending areas of the cafe into the pool area, the proposal recalibrates the working of the space, integrating the entire space into one larger whole. The aesthetic of the proposal takes both geometric and colour inspiration from the Memphis Design Movement, where individual elements are characterised by colourful decorations, featuring asymmetrical shapes and geometries and accompanied by a multitude of seemingly jarring patterns at different scales. La Mira Ra house, located in the South of France, is the fruit of a long reflection about the marriage of the wild nature of the Mediterranean and the minimalist purity of contemporary architecture - a marriage resulting in a unique architectural project.
