2+3 is an apartment in Budapest with panoramic views of the old town, designed in a Luxury Loft style for a family with three children. The layout, shaped by existing partitions, divides the space into private and common zones. The common area includes an entrance hall, living room with open kitchen, guest bathroom, laundry, and office; the private area contains bedrooms, wardrobes, and bathrooms. SKYLINE is a project of an apartment located in Budapest’s prestigious Buda Hills district. Crafted for a family with three kids, the residence features panoramic windows and terraces that offer breathtaking views of the historic heart of the city.The collaboration with the clients was seamless, as this was our second project together. This project is the complete remodel of a mid-century modern home that is set into a hillside on a beautiful, private four-acre property in Villanova, Pennsylvania. At the outset of the project, the team observed that the existing interior layout was maze-like and spaces were dark and did not engage the home's unique setting in the landscape. The most striking feature of this home are the razor-edge roof profiles and the fact that those roofs swoop both vertically and horizontally. It is really an evolution of modern design. We named this home Modern on the Prairie. Certainly, Pa Ingalls didn’t design this one. We designed it in a Modern architectural spacial design by using vertical and horizontal planes to create the spaces. No post and beams or headers. Its flat roof helps further expresses the planes. The clients, a young couple with two children, were meticulous in selecting their apartment. They desired a top-floor location with high ceilings, abundant natural light, and direct terrace access. Noting their love for hosting, the space needed to accommodate outdoor barbecues.
