‘The philosophy of our architectural firm is to design timeless architecture and interiors that are relevant at any time, even in a decade or two, that are forward-looking and therefore always valuable.
Our mission is to bring beauty, comfort and harmony to life.’
Creating this interior anew was not easy. On a surface area of 110m2, we had to isolate, in addition to the living room, kitchen and dining room, three children's rooms, a bedroom, an office, a dressing room and two bathrooms, an entrance hall, wardrobes and communication. For this, the design had to be expressive, maximally functional and timeless. The demolition of the walls covered the entire existing room layout, which made it possible to arrange this plan and create an attractive space for the users anew.
Two separate corridors made it possible to create separate zones for the parents and children, and a living zone from the private zone - the parents' master bedroom. The flat was realised using traditional materials - natural wood, veneers, stone and ceramics dominate. We wanted to achieve uniqueness of design not through
unusual shapes of furnishings, but rather the unique character and quality of the materials, which one wants to touch again and again.
The walls separating the living areas, which are part of the communication, are clad in acoustically enhanced wood and behind their fronts are wardrobe systems to make maximum use of the storage space, we could not waste even an inch.
The bathroom in the master bedroom had to be small, functional and compact because of the many other functions we had to fit into the 110m2 of the suite.
For many, the bathroom is part of the ritual of life, as a kind of transition, from active life to relaxation and vice versa.
In contrast, it can always reflect you. The structurally beautiful stone from which we made the countertop and washbasin, as well as the light, helped to create the unique aura of the tiny space. The simple and sophisticated faucet made of chrome steel and marble also gives it a touch of luxury. After the kitchen, entrance hall and living room, the second public bathroom is one of the most visited areas. At the same time as being a guest access area, we wanted this bathroom to have ‘something unusual’ about it. I don't necessarily mean the ‘fussy’ shapes of the fittings but the atmosphere and quality of the details.
The three children's rooms were designed in the timeless style of each room, although very small, functionally refined, with the carpenter having to make individual furniture.
