LOYD DIJKZONE

House No.12

Nestled in the suburb of Khar in suburban Mumbai, House no. 12 is an idyllic space amidst the chaos and energy that surrounds Mumbai.  The design brief from the client was to create a home that is suited for a young couple in their early 30’s with a toddler. The aim was to create a space that had a classic, contemporary and modern aesthetic, but at the same time, exude fun, color & eclectic elements through art, accessories, accent furniture and lights. Keeping in mind the design brief as well as the personality, the designers decided to keep the shell of the home neutral and monochromatic in terms of floor and wall finishes, to add an element of layering to the space. Grey ceramic tiles have been used through the living, din... More

Juice Brothers x Nutri Bowl

Nutri Bowl, specialised in cold-pressed juices, and Nutri Bowl, pioneer in healthy to-go meals, are joining forces in a new roll-out concept. Ninetynine was asked to develop a modular, scalable shop-in-shop concept which resulted in an inverted island bar which brings the customer – and not the staff – to the heart of the brand-controlled environment.   The design is based on a grid of 40x30x30 cm blocks. The size literally refers to the optimal 40/30/30 - protein/carbohydrates/fat - ratio provided by the power series of Nutri Bowl. The basic grid is projected onto the floor as a tiled surface, and is separated from the walls of the space. An L-shaped counter and a free-standing block that serves as a table are constructe... The architectural firm Atelier Barda was mandated in September 2016 to expand the headquarters of SSENSE, a fashion platform known for its exclusive original content and a curated selection of over 400 fashion and luxury designers for men and women. Located in a neighbourhood that was once home to Montreal’s textile industry, the space has a surface area of 24,000 square feet, and was formerly used for logistics and warehouses. The project involved the complete redesign of the existing space to meet the company’s growing needs while staying true to its strong brand image.   The main objective was to design a functional space that would speak to its original purpose and conserve its industrial look and feel by paring down... Novopie Podiatric Clinic

Novopie Podiatric Clinic is located in Torrox, a Malaga town, with the tourist slogan: ‘the best weather in Europe’. It is placed in a small shop of 18 square meters, on the ground floor of a residential building, inside of a coastal development built in the seventies. Although the space is limited, the needs are the same than in a regular podiatric clinic: WAITING ROOM, WORKING ROOM and a BATHROOM as basic program. We proposed as additional program a WAREHOUSE, a STOREFRONT and a SHOWER. Every effort is aimed to get EXPAND the 18 square meters. We tried to change something that at the beginning was a disadvantage becomes an advantage. We were looking for a space where the user feel comforted and their senses could awaken. The spa... More
