Fort Isabella is the last green link between Vught and 's-Hertogenbosch. The star-shaped fort was built in the 17th century as part of the Zuiderwaterlinie, and in a more recent past was converted into a barracks site that included among others a regiment of wheeled soldiers. The new phase, in which the site will be reactivated, is a transformation into a outer-city with an attractive mix of housing for residents of different age groups, work and hospitality. The new ‘Land van Winkel’ quarter, an urban development plan in municipality Abcoude by landscape bureau La4Sale, borders on the north side with a 1070s expansion. On the south side the new quarter makes a transition to the surrounding peat river landscape. The ambitious quality plan sets out specific requirements for volume, plasticity, detail, material and color for each plot, so that each home differs from its neighbors. Defining the corner between the street and the churchyard, the construction rises as a prominent and highly relevant place in the memory of the locals. Therefore, it was important to rebuild the pre-existing façade, which preserved the original architectural elements. It is in this area that the pharmacy takes place, with a privileged connection with the street. Our client purchased a small vacant tennis court plot  in Ilkley, West Yorkshire with a view to creating a stunning contemporary family home. This Passivhaus Plus dwelling sits within a highly sensitive Conservation Area in Leyburn, North Yorkshire.  Halliday Clark developed a timber frame and straw bale system for the wall construction in addition to a building specification which avoids any cement-based and prime plastic-based products.  The design includes a full photovoltaic array, water recycling system and full MVHR.  The project has become the first accredited Passivhaus Plus project in North Yorkshire. Lux Garden is a set of 8 buildings integrated in the Lejana de Baixo development in Faro, Algarve, Portugal, having been developed with the aim of becoming a reference in the city's new housing area. The building’s implantation and volumetry were defined by the allotment plan, in a U-shape around a yard and developing in 6 and 7 floors above ground and 2 floors below ground for parking. Europe’s largest construction project improves connectivity across London for an estimated 200 million people a year.   The 41-station Crossrail project helps to maintain London’s position as a global city by improving urban connectivity and enabling commercial growth.
