Designed by Mjölk architekti, The Guard Patrol comprises a series of small stops in the form of steel and wood installations on the mountain above Rokytnice in the Czech Republic.

The original intention of the local municipality was to create a classic lookout tower in the area; however, the topography of the existing landscape ultimately proved unsuitable for this due to a lack of good views from standard heights. In response, the architects returned with a concept of several smaller stops on the rocks running along the top of the mountain.

Much-loved garden serves as focal point for London extension
In London, a much-loved garden serves as a focal point for a rear extension of a Victorian mid-terrace house in the Conservation Area of Haringey. Designed by Amos Goldreich Architecture, the project arranges a sequence of living spaces around the garden and internal courtyard that provides a connection to greenery on the tight urban site.

Apartment with the soul of the traveler
The investor's idea of the interior of the apartment in the new building was very definite and specific - a large number of open spaces used for exhibiting souvenirs from the travels, airy and spacy rooms, plenty of storage space and pleasant material interior. However, the existing layout of the apartment was too staid, impersonal and unwieldy, so we agreed to radically transform the entire apartment layout.We decided to abandon the convention of a rectangular layout of the apartment. Broad Street House
Broad Street House is new build home in Suffolk by Nash Baker Architects. The house utilises a palette of natural and traditional materials to blend with the rural street scene, and the exterior uses oak cladding and handmade bricks (both locally sourced) to blend with the architectural character of the village. To create a more distinctive look, the bricks were laid in a variation of ‘Monks bond’ using white iron-free sand for the lime mortar which was sourced from the local Wivenhoe pit.
