For Loom Games’ new office, our aim was to create a workplace that reflects the story of a game studio that grew rapidly into a unicorn, while supporting the creative culture and strong sense of community behind that growth—without turning its colourful world into an overt theme. The office is shaped around different ways of working, moving naturally between focus and interaction. Open workspaces are supported by meeting rooms, focus areas, and service spaces to create a calm and spacious everyday working environment, while social spaces and gathering points of different scales are placed along the areas with the strongest views of the city. Located in the Da’an District of Taipei, this project is the "Laihao" office—a space tucked away in the city that reflects traditional Taiwanese culture. The brand’s philosophy and name originate from the founder’s childhood memories of a Sanheyuan (traditional three-sided courtyard house) in Chiayi County and his grandmother’s name, "Laihao." The old residence carries the imprints of hometown life and family emotions, shaping a deep connection to the land and a rich cultural foundation, which eventually evolved into a representative local Taiwanese brand.
