Landmark Altabrisa is a 32-story mixed-use tower concept proposed for Mérida through an independent competition. The project brings together residential, commercial, hospitality, restaurant and entertainment programs, treating the tower as a civic destination rather than an isolated high-rise. A generous public park at its center connects the development with the surrounding city. The 16-week experimental studio “Lightweight Bamboo Structures: From Concept to Site” was conceived to integrate bamboo construction into architectural and civil engineering education by engaging students in a complete design–test–build process. Through the development of a full-scale pavilion, the studio aimed to immerse future professionals in the material’s structural challenges, positioning bamboo as a teachable structural system within the university setting. INJ Architects The new Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah sits within one of the most historically layered cities in the Arabian Peninsula, a city where the UNESCO-listed Al-Balad district preserves centuries of Hijazi urban culture through its distinctive coral-stone facades and ornate wooden Rawshan screens. For the newly completed Moscow Towers, a pair of 62-storey skyscrapers designed by German engineer Werner Sobek, Russian architecture practice UNK interiors has collaborated with artist Andrey Berger on 'Deus Particula', a monumental diptych rooted in a design principle borrowed from Gothic cathedrals: the vertical axis of light. The Moscow Towers complex consists of three connected towers: two side volumes house residential apartments, while the central one is dedicated to offices. As a National Historic Landmark, Detroit’s Pewabic Pottery has been handcrafting pottery and architectural tiles for public and private buildings in the United States for over a century. In response to reaching the physical limits of working space, this addition has more than doubled Pewabic’s current production space. The addition establishes an open floor plan that allows for a flexible work layout and easy work flow for fabrication. It improves working conditions for artists, introducing natural light and ergonomic workspaces, while also providing a more compelling visitor experience. Over the last decade, Lawrence Technological University’s Southfield campus has increasingly admitted a student body desiring a more vibrant campus life experience; turning the once commuter school into a University with a more robust on-campus experience. Impacted strongly by LTU’s recent addition of varsity athletics as well as an influx of international students, student resident growth has created an immediate need for on-campus student housing options. Equinox Wisconsin Avenue located in the District’s City Ridge neighborhood. The two-story Fitness Club is an inspiring hub for its community. The club amenities include a spa, Pilates studio, cycling studio, weight room, steam room, and juice bar.
