The new Van Leesten Memorial Bridge reworks abandoned freeway infrastructure (I-195) to connect five prominent neighborhoods and institutions within the city. Acting as a pedestrian center, the pedestrian bridge not only performs as a practical connector between regions, but also offers multiple programmatic interventions to encourage community connection and social engagement among city residents. World of Volvo is a joint venture between Volvo Cars and the Volvo Group. This new 22,500-square-metre experience centre is located in central Gothenburg, the city where Volvo’s journey began in 1927. Designed by Henning Larsen, the project integrates computational parametric design with mass timber. The impressive main structure, made from glued laminated timber (glulam) and cross-laminated timber (CLT), forms three majestic tree trunk-like columns arranged in a mathematical pattern. In 2019, we were commissioned to create a series of sculptural benches for Sahara Mall in Riyadh, transforming public seating into an artistic and functional experience. The project brought together parametric design, advanced digital fabrication, and meticulous craftsmanship, resulting in a collection of 16 benches and 6 Rain Gatherer tables. MAIN CONCEPT The flagship KLO petrol station in Kyiv is strategically located on a key transportation artery, Mykola Bazhan Avenue, which connects Boryspil International Airport to the city centre. The client’s request to create a unique station is reflected in the flowing, wave-like exterior envelope that provides sunshading, accentuates the main entrance with its curve, and unifies the wide wings of the station with the central building into a holistic structure. Located in the Central Business District of Gaozhou in Maoming, Guangdong Province, the project is planned to be a high-rise city landmark with a height of 150m. The site is next to the largest shopping mall in the local area, and given the fact that this project is the final development phrase of the plot, all other volumes have been completed and put into use from the very beginning of intervention. The project entails the renovation of an office space located at one of the main buildings of a group of companies in Athens. The guiding principle was to create a timber interior that innovatively juxtaposes organic forms and clean lines. Illyrius was born by the request for a high-density residential project just outside the first urban circle, on an empty lot on the Rruga Dritan Hoxha artery, which connects the city center to Tirana International Airport, and to the coast of the Adriatic Sea. New Delhi Railway Station is a major transportation node with approximate average foot fall of 450,000 people daily. The Airport Express line and the Yellow line of the Delhi Metro also have a subterranean underground station at the Ajmeri Gate side in-between the railway station and the Parking building . On the surface there is the Bhav Bhuti Marg and the drop off Zone of the Railway station. The proposal aimed at the formation of a unique identity for the café Anemos Kourouta through the design of its interior implementing a singular system in its internal envelope.  This was pursued by the creation of a continuous inner “skin”, which derived from wind flow diagrams and was based on the name of the café (Ανεμος is wind in Greek). This interior surface covered the interior walls with a total length of 45 meters and surface of 230 m2.
