This project had a small ground in the pleasant city of Mahan.The client requested that a garden be designed for him, which, like nature, is orderly, yet disorderly and has a smooth geometry. The house in Erl is in a residential area with one house after the next. The property has a slight slope that rises from west to east. Set back a little from the street, the building adjoins the western boundary with an entrance and a wide garage driveway. From there it develops in length and gently blends into the small-scale building structure. Surrounded by the incredible mountains of the French Alps, in the town of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, the Alpen Chalet became the first large foreign project of our studio.The interior design of the chalet took us more than six months to develop. And during this time the project had several changes. The site is located on the southern side of the Izerskie Mountains, just above the Wojcieszyce village in the Jeleniogórska valley. The sloping and south facing site offers excellent exposure to the natural lighting of the sun as well as magnificent views, what makes it a perfect location for the owner’s dream holiday house. It was very important for us to realise the full potential of this location.The simple, geometric form of the building is characteristic of our practice. GOOD LIFE – is a family nest in a countryside, which we were lucky to work out for a young couple and their children – two boys and a girl, who is awaited in the family. The original house layout was changed – we added additional functional rooms and at the same time preserved the double-light spaces and ceiling heights. A cloakroom was placed near the entrance, and the extra one we decided to locate on the first floor – a place for it was built on a furnace. An extensive ground floor house uses the limits of a large plot in Almere. Outside emphasized by a solid wall. Inside a surprising variety of open spaces created by a structure of columns and a shed roof. The house is designed according to the client`s wishes with related qualities introduced by the architect. The most prominent example is the wish to have only a ground level, combined with the quality of a shed roof for enough daylight.
