The designer house is a beautiful private house in the Residential area of Al Barari, in the heart of Dubai, UAE. Designed by Dipiugi General Trading founder and creative director Sawsan Haber, the house features multiple Lodes lighting fixtures, including Sky-Fall, A-Tube Nano, Nautilus and Random. Suspended on single canopies, a composition of Sky -Fall lamps, in Chrome and Rose Gold, shines from above the staircase. Available in two sizes, Sky-Fall’s shape captures the imagination in its reminiscence of ancient decanters in precious blown glass. Reminiscent of an older, simpler era, yet contemporary in spirit, Residence 2105 is essentially an extension to an existing residence. Initially designed keeping in mind a family of four, with time, as the family grew, a need was felt to expand the space to include two more bedrooms. The new construction was visualised as part of the first floor of the residence, which ultimately was designed to include a living, dining and kitchen space, turning the first-floor space into a comfortable, warm abode. We were approached by an NRI client who wanted us to design a residence for his parents living in a densely populated residential area in Secunderabad. He had a clear requirement of a duplex house comprising of ground plus two levels, compliant to Vaastu, to be designed in a unique and aesthetically pleasing way with a modest budget. The Farmville at Surat, Gujarat is designed with an idea of transforming the farmhouse into a place where the younger generations could feel connected with culture and recreate the feel of places that the older generation had grown up in. An experience rather than just a place to stay is created with modernistic materials and geometric triangular shapes, which has been used in a diverse way symbolizing strong cultural roots.
