Lofty timber canopy welcomes commuters at new Brent Cross West station
The eastern entrance of newly opened Brent Cross West station in North London is an impressive timber-hybrid structure that combines sustainability and biophilia. “The Arbour” is a gateway to Brent Cross Town, a large-scale urban regeneration project that aims to be net zero by 2030. The Arbour station entrance was co-authored by Studio Egret West and shedkm with Studio Egret West evolving the design through its detail and construction phases. A lofty timber canopy was developed to fit between and connect two adjacent future office buildings. (Studio Egret West and shedkm are the architects for office building 4 and office building 3 respectively — both designs will incorporate timber construction technologies.)

The Moving Kitchen
In Feb 2019, the Taiwanese society criticized heavily an expensive yet unsightly new tourism train. Forus, JC Architecture, instead of complaining, we wrote an open letter with encouragement and positivity to tell the Taiwanese society that Taiwanese designers can make a change. It led us to the opportunity to designTaiwan’s first-ever tourist train, “The Future,” eventually awarded the Japanese Good Design Award.

Skywalk at The New Delhi Railway Station
New Delhi Railway Station is a major transportation node with approximate average foot fall of 450,000 people daily. The Airport Express line and the Yellow line of the Delhi Metro also have a subterranean underground station at the Ajmeri Gate side in-between the railway station and the Parking building . On the surface there is the Bhav Bhuti Marg and the drop off Zone of the Railway station.

Former railway station in Brussels transformed into a cultural centre complete with floating glazed extension
In Brussels, Belgium, the facades of the railway station of Laken from the late 19th century have been carefully restored and the building adapted into a social and cultural centre for the non-profit association ‘'Maison de La Création.' Complete with a new floating glass extension, this piece of architectural heritage will remain accessible to the surrounding community hosting events, exhibitions and free space for locals.
