Adjacent to the main urban highway entering the city of Shiraz; This cultural-recreational complex, located on approximately 4 hectares of land, had several significant aspects for us. Firstly, it was situated close to a city rich in historical and cultural heritage, where leisure activities and spending time in nature, are important for both the collective and individual character of its citizens. On the other hand, its geography posed a challenge due to its desert and sun-drenched climate, conflicting with this desire. Carlton Marshes lie in the Waveney Valley at the southern tip of the Norfolk Broads and is part of the Suffolk Broads. It comprises a jigsaw of grazing marsh, fens, peat pools, short fen meadow, tall fen (called 'tall litter fen'), dykes, pools and scrub. Located within the boundaries of the existing school, the project is divided following the natural topography of the site : In the lower part, the recreational center directly connected to the public space benefits from an underexploited courtyard. Caption On the upper level the new classrooms are oriented towards the current school courtyard. The complex takes advantage of an East-West exposure and quietly fits into its surroundings. Just outside the Portland city limits, Rockwood is among the most diverse and lowest income areas in the Portland metro area. Three non-profit organizations—Open School, Boys & Girls Club of Portland, and New Avenues for Youth—came together to create a two-building, 3.5-acre non-profit campus to support the neighborhood’s community of underserved youth. The campus delivers places for kids of all ages to learn, play, and socialize. In Sandefjord, carpenter Dag Olsen and his colleagues at Bygg og Maskin AS are busy mounting STENI façade panels on the new ice rink at the Bugårdsparken recreation centre. He estimates that two people can install around 70 square metres of façade panels each day.“I think this is the fastest way to install a façade. The panels are pre-drilled, so once we get them screwed in place, the wall is basically finished,” says Olsen. “This project uses a combination of STENI Nature, STENI Colour and STENI Vision. The panels are numbered and stacked in the correct order on the pallet in accordance with the specific design.
