Chimney Cake Bakers

Set in the heart of North London, Chimney Cake Bakers restaurant design marked the first collaborative project between Liqui and our sister company Crate47. While we attended to all aspects of the interior design and fit-out; Crate47 created the branding and graphics which included designing decorative motifs and patterns that were used by us throughout the interior as well as on the website built by Crate47. The designs took the chimney cake’s Eastern European roots as a starting point. Liqui’s restaurant interior design combines hand decorated reclaimed wood panelling with stripped back painted brick walls to produce a warm, bohemian, but strongly branded environment. Our bespoke furniture makers created distinctive stools an... More

InterContinental Guangzhou Hotel

A landmark port for traders to sail through the Pearl River Delta, trading commodities sets the design inspiration for InterContinental Guangzhou. Anchoring the lobby space, several semi-private timber framed pods sit randomly yet purposefully on a raised platform in front of a 3-story feature wall made entirely from undulating wooden slats that form familiar vessel shapes. The specialty steak restaurant Char, is a reinterpretation of a rustic southern steakhouse with interiors of classic cowboy elements and feature walls made from a mosaic of cowhide panels. The melding of Guangzhou's rich tapestry, heritage and business culture formed the basis for the nautical interior concept of InterCon Pazhou. More

Veramendi House

Situated along San Antonio’s Riverwalk, the Veramendi House consists of four historic buildings dating back to the 19th century and the remnant of the former Solo Serve building.  Through the careful use of indoor/outdoor space and specific programming, Clayton Korte in conjunction with The Mighty Union has endeavored to revitalize these derelict buildings for future use as an 83 key boutique hotel, retail, restaurant, bars and a maker’s market. The vacant exterior spaces that separate the buildings will be converted into vibrant public courtyards that provide circulation throughout the interstitial spaces and offer opportunities for social engagement. Planned restaurants, bars, cafes, retail and pool area will add to the... More

Bierhalle Royal Wilanów

Bierhalle Wilanów is a prestigious location (Royal Wilanów complex), which means higher standards. It has been the first premises realized from scratch according to the new image guidelines for the brand as worked out the previous year by our studio (when doing the audit and lifting in CH Arkadia Bierhalle restaurant). The point of departure for the interior design in Wilanów were the characteristic colours used by Bierhalle since it has functioned, that is deep red and black, which has been recently introduced to complement the red colour. A great challenge connected with this very location was a huge number of glass window displays – the restaurant being surrounded with them from three sides. We managed to tur... More

Talerzyki

“Talerzyki” is a place offering “Polish tapas”, complemented with an adequate selection of cocktails. The owner of the place is Marcin Koch, who also owns the neighbouring “Bazar Kocha”, and the interior as well as the visual identity were created by the Warsaw-based creative studio 370studio.com specializing in gastronomic places. The interior decoration concept is elegant yet relaxed, its dominant inspiration being Warsaw bars from the 1920s and 1930s. The place name meaning “a plate” in Polish, the motif of a plate motif discreetly appears in various zones of the place. A number of references to it can be found: a humorous mural showing a circus monkey juggling plates or the logo itself,... More

Posypane

Posypane Dom Makaronu is a new concept on the culinary map of Warsaw. The pasta is made on the spot according to original recipes. In the whole restaurant plaster was removed, which allowed to reveal reinforced concrete construction elements as well as brick walls, which we decided to use in the interior design. Their lower part was painted yellow and green, which created a characteristic sort of dado around the interior. The intense colours on the walls were combined with a dark navy blue floor made of microcement as well as with vintage patterned tiles. A characteristic accent of the restaurant are its two bars, made of copper sheet constituting two protruding elements. In one of them, behind a glass wall, in full view of the guests, pa... More

La Sirena: The Mexican Food Cartel

La Sirena: The Mexican Food Cartel or where Warsaw meets Mexico. A place like no other – working on it was pure pleasure. Comprehensive realization in the heart of the Polish Capital involving the interior design and full visual identity. La Sirena is not another polite colourful coffee shop for gringos. Its ambience reminding of dangerous slums was inspired by the dark side of Mexico with its cartels and culture as presented in B movies. We tried to mirror this atmosphere by giving this place the character of a scruffy eatery where no one can feel quite safe. The place seems to have always been here: dingy walls, rusted machetes, a wall made of corrugated metal touched by time – just to name a few of the elements contributing... More

Zachodni Brzeg

Zachodni Brzeg serves Middle East cuisine. The name has a double meaning, referring both to the Western bank of the Vistula River (where the bistro is situated – the local aspect) and to the Western bank of the Jordan (the source of the major culinary inspirations – the global aspect). The interior is strongly influenced by the Middle Eastern world, with a special emphasis put on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict: – the wall, whereon there is a leather loge, was made on order from concrete tiles imitating those used in the wall separating the conflicted countries. – the restaurant’s logo (also designed by us) is also divided with an invisible line – in the interior there appear various forms of a... Bar Stock Exchange

With its blusterous and energetic populace and its chaotic cityscape, Mumbai, is unlike any city in India. The Mumbaikar culture is unique and tells a story about the city’s modern skyscrapers, from the Victoria Terminus to the Madh Fort, not unlike a catalogue of historical events, cultures and architecture. It is this idea of the passage of time, the gradation of culture and design movements in Mumbai, which the Bar Stock Exchange in CBD Belapur plays with. The design identity and language are bright, lively and eccentric but, at the same time is very sensible and remains true to the theme of time; incorporating elements from different eras ranging 1940’s to present day in its interior and décor. One couldn’t look further than observ... More

Samara Restaurant

Formerly a beloved neighborhood video rental place, Samara was born out of chef-owner’s Eric Anderson’s vision. Always a far-away thought, Anderson spent years writing menus and picking out handmade plates for this hypothetical restaurant. Then he found the perfect corner spot in Sunset hill.He gave a simple brief to create a small, sophisticated, and intimate, neighborhood corner bistro. His menu calibrated with a strict eye toward seasonality and environmental sustainability. Raised in Chicago, he wanted to bring that exposure of the craftsman aesthetic into the restaurant. At its core, the restaurant aims to evoke a rich sense of timelessness and comfort. Perfectly integrated into the fabric of the neighborhood, Samara becomes a place com... More

Coco Buono

Coco Buono is the restaurant and coffee shop for Baan Pan-Tai resort at Cha-am, Thailand. We built the new building in the existing site and still keep trees surrounding that the flower from trees call locally - Pan Tai - as the name of the resort.Because of the old coffee shop was decorated with wood and the owner wants the new one to be fresh look and up-to-date. So we decided to choose the material , white tile , checker board floor, that quite urban-image to wash the old look away but still keep some wood on the ceiling thet relate to the garden. And light it up in the evening to attract passing people on the road. More
