Kiln at Ace Hotel Sydney is the latest addition to Surry Hills’ artful rooftop experience
Set atop Sydney’s newly opened Ace hotel, the Kiln pays homage to the site’s history of Australia’s oldest known kilns and later as a textile factory. Designed by Melbourne-based firm Fiona Lynch Office, the restaurant seeks inspiration from Australian craftsmanship, everything from colours, culture, and visual identity.

The space is distinctive to Ace Sydney, yet it evokes the Australian landscape with its palette of earthy hues and mellow wood-and-leather accents. Located on the 18th floor, the 108-seat restaurant comprises two dining rooms, two bars, a lounge area and two terrace areas with retractable roofs, each with its distinct patina.

BARN OFFICE
This project, located on a 37-acre family farm in Pennsylvania, arose from the need for a personal workspace away from the hustle and bustle of the main house. An old barn used for gardening storage provided the ideal opportunity to convert it into a personal workspace.

The small 1250 s.f. building consists of a main work and meeting area as well as the addition of a kitchen and a bathroom with sauna. Modern Rustic House Design
This house located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is designed to mix between two contradicting styles, the modern and rustic styles. To incorporate both aesthetics, the team of CAS skillfully blended sleek details and straight lines with a touch of rough texture and natural materials. This created conjunction of characteristics in the house and accommodated elegance and comfort.
