One Mamaia Nord is a visionary residential complex completed in 2021, spanning over 2,300 sqm on the Black Sea coast. Its design seamlessly combines modern architecture, advanced technology, and a deep connection to its natural surroundings. The project of the new Geology Museum Progreso was conceived as a cultural element as well as a public space, both developed as a single project. The different parts of the program are consciously related to each other and to the context through different environments in the open space. This project’s seaside location meant that the building needed to respond to the beauty of its site while simultaneously countering the impacts of a harsh coastal environment. This house is not a weekend escape but rather a family home that happens to be at the beach. The architecture of this building is an exploration of how to construct a robust family home that will last the test of time in this very corrosive environment. The building is composed of a series of expressed concrete slabs that skew slightly on each level. Robust and resilient, this concrete structure establishes the architectural expression and materiality of the building. "303" is an Italian restaurant in Shirahama town, with a picturesque view of Engetsu Island, a symbolic attraction in Wakayama prefecture, Japan. Originally, it was refurbished from a guest house once operated by the client's family. Shirahama boasts the most stunning beach in the Kansai region, where visitors can immerse themselves in a landscape seamlessly blending with the sea. The town lies gracefully along the coastline, reflecting a deep connection between its residents and the ocean.
