Vocational school for construction trades
The new vocational school for construction trades is located in a central area of Zurich, Switzerland. Gunz & Künzle Architects designed the building to maximize the number of classrooms while also creating valuable public spaces for the neighborhood. The slender building follows the street and creates a spacious courtyard that connects to the public functions on the school's first floor.

10 school buildings with special brick facades
In an interview with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), it was proposed that good school building design should eliminate “cramped spaces, lack of natural light, and bad acoustics.” Moreover, “school buildings should relate to their surrounding community, each offering its unique set of challenges and opportunities” (Pisanu, 2018).
Brick is one particularly solid building material — both traditional and contemporary, it is extremely practical and durable. Ataub Architects and their co-contractor Linéa Architecture and Urbanism chose STONEPANEL™ Sylvestre for the exterior cladding -a total surface of 550 square meters- of this secondary education institution which provides different grades about construction industry.
