The Bougainvillea House

The Bougainvillea House is located on Tahvili Street in Shiraz, within an urban fabric dating back to the Pahlavi era. The project was commissioned to Asmane Studio for renovation, structural reinforcement, and interior design. The ground floor of this old house originally consisted of an entrance corridor and a central distribution space, around which two bedrooms, the kitchen, the staircase leading to the upper floor, and a light well were arranged. The first floor followed a similar layout, with an L-shaped living room and an additional room organized around the central distribution space. However, the existing spatial arrangement did not fully meet the needs of the family. Among the main challenges were the necessity of accommodating a... More

At first, the new owner had decided to make some minor alterations in terms of improving the building’s elevations; but under the discussion between our team and the client, we could convince him to renovate all the interior and outdoor spaces.  Caption Caption The northern and southern access to the apartment was completely different. Considering the variety of effective factors on the elevations and also the inconsistency of two facades, each side is determined to have a unique but consistent design. Regardless of all differences, some specific elements, materials and a unique color were shared on both sides, in orde... More

Gheisizadeh Residential Apartment

Text description provided by the architects. In Gheisizadeh residential apartment project, our main effort was to provide the maximum possible outdoor space to the residents, while creating the maximum visual privacy from outside to inside. The intention was to reach the desired result by changing the openings, "While giving the residents the right to choose their level of privacy".The effort was to, while respecting the introversion aspect of the residential units, consider implementing a terrace to protect the disturbing severe direct sunlight in summer and benefit from the sunlight in the cold weather of winter because of the warm and dry climate of Shiraz. Safari Residential Apartment

Text description provided by the architects. The Safari Residential Project is located at the southeast of Shiraz, one of the oldest part of the city. THE PAUSE

Our response to the challenging architectural installation competition near one of the most important historic gardens “Afif Abad Garden” in Shiraz, Iran was PAUSE.PAUSE is the childish adventure feeling and inspiration that we have not experienced since so many years ago. PAUSE tries to revive the feelings that we have been ignored. Feeling of brick texture tactile; hearing the sound of our steps on the metal sheets, looking at the sky which we pass under of it every single day without any attention to it, not even trying to pause and enjoy watching it. Listening to the “water features located at the site”.PAUSE from the exterior is a cube that holds a suspended brick volume and this is adequate enough to incite the adventure and curiosity... More
