Esdal College Borger
On the outskirts of the municipality of Borger-Odoorn, in the east of the Netherlands, the new building of the Esdal College offers a modern home for around two hundred pre-vocational secondary education (vmbo) students. They themselves were also allowed to help determine what their ideal school should look like. Together with the teachers, they created a list of requirements: the new school had to include high-tech features and provide a warm, homely, and safe atmosphere.

Stodolove
Projekt polegający na przebudowie mieszczącym budynek gospodarczy z 1940 roku. Budynek gospodarczy z pomieszczeniami dziennymi kontrolowany na działce otoczonej zielenią i starymi drzewami owocowymi w Rumi, w dzielnicy Szmelta, która jest pozostałością po dawnej wsi. Obecna forma budynku i wykończenie graniczne deską nawiązują do prawnych drewnianych stodół, których w okolicy jest jeszcze kilka. Szacunek dla historii miejsca dostępny, zebranie fotografii i map archiwalnych tego obszaru w celu tworzenia budynku, który posiada wyłącznik między tradycją a współczesnością.

Cabin of Human Expression by SHER MAKER experiments with wood panels and shou-sugi ban techniques
Welcoming visitors in quiet Mae Rim district, Thailand, the Cabin of Human Expression by SHER MAKER Architects consists of an upper bedroom, two bathrooms, and an open plan living room with a kitchen that opens up onto a spacious at grade terrace. The exterior of the building is clad on three sides with burnt wood panels, leaving the remaining side open to the terrace and mountain view.
