Concrete Collage

At Collage Architects, we adeptly navigate the intersection of design philosophy and budgetary constraints, embodying a pragmatic yet innovative approach to architecture. Confronted with the challenges of limited space and budget fluctuations, we embraced creative solutions to realize our vision. Witsawarut Kekina Our endeavor commenced with the recognition that traditional construction methodologies were inadequate for our proposed three-story office edifice on a confined 82-square-meter plot in Soi Ratchadaphisek 32, Bangkok. The spatial constraints and adjacent structures presented significant logistical challenges, necessitating the adoption of a post-tension structure. This deviation from conventional post-and-lintel systems faci... More

Office in Beyoğlu

A functional office unit was designed with two principles; pure and simple. The concept of the project that we called “prism in prism” was shaped with a contextual approach. The 6mx6mx3m space is divided into two parts. The multi-multi functional unit is defined as a second prism in the space that includes bookshelves, kitchenette, cloakroom, meeting pod, wc, and some devices such as a fridge. The other part of the space is defined as a flexible and transformable working area shaped with some additional tools and furniture. The exterior face of the space has strong visual contact with the Golden Horn and the Historical Peninsula of Istanbul due to the fact that we designed a continuous façade system. Hacer Bozkurt... Daisen Work Hut

Daisen - Work Hut This project is the administration building for a small construction firm fromTottori, a nearby small city.  In the midst of the recent pandemic, the firm opted to relocate their office to a nearby rural area.  The new location is abundant in flora and fauna, with small scale agricultural buildings and a vista dominated by the nearby extinct volcano Mt Daisen. The firm hoped that this setting would provide an escape from the dreariness of city lockdown for themselves and their team. In the manner of a terminus or infrastructural building, the Work Hut stands alone in its context; a carpark in a village amongst rice paddies.  Like the nearby barns, the Work Hut is activated at the start of the day, with the... The Tetracube office

The site enjoyed a unique location in an old heavy industrial estate. Situated on the ground floor the double heighted office space had street presence & front appreciation space. This unique condition was exploited by designing ‘BOX IN BOX’ type of office. The ‘INSIDE BOX’ was separated from the existing ‘OUTER BOX’ by approximately 1.50 MT which creates the movement space. This space becomes the main passage to enter the ‘INSIDE SPACE’ from ‘OUTSIDE SPACE’. This kind of circumambulatory movement slowly & seductively unveils the interior space to the perception of the user. The ‘INSIDE BOX’ around which this movement happens was shaped to create interesting ope... More

Office M

A light filled space overlooking the centre of Moscow was designed to accommodate a small finance company. The project called for closed compact offices as opposed to an open plan layout. The entire glazed perimeter was given over to individual rooms, while the central area became an informal meeting space. Light glass partitions provide visual continuity and compositional rhythm, allowing the space to be perceived as a whole. The central lounge area is delineated with sculptural accents, such as a chrome-plated screen, marble and walnut planters with succulents. Surface colour and texture enriches the rational layout. Warm terracotta shag pile carpeting is paired with Carrara and Grigio Carnico marbles, polished aluminum and American wal... More

Townhouse "screen" extension

The "screen" towards the gardenAn intervention is made to a small-scale amorphous building accommodating an individual house. The interventions and additions made over time created a garage and a series of annexes in different shapes and sizes, placed without any particular rule in mind. The project aims to perfect the house filling it with functional spaces while also cleansing and organising the exterior space of the patio. The main volume of the house and the garage are thus further preserved. In the interior space, the intervention brings a spacious living area, attached to the main volume at the same time opening towards the exterior on all its three sides. The shape is so conceived in order to generate an ample interior space while dir... More

Sabrab Office

This project refers to Sabrab Office. Letting natural light flood the entire space was the concept for the development of this space. The space was originally segmented with several work areas and where natural light was none and very dark rooms. The basic idea for the creation was immediately liberated from the whole area, transforming it into an open space. It was intended that almost the whole area of the project was an integral part of a single space leading to the option for segmentation to be made through the placement of glass panels. In addition to allowing the creation of more reserved work spaces, natural light, which only enters through two windows on the main facade of the building, fills almost the entire office in a homogen... Designed and manufactured near York by Archipod Ltd, the ‘pods’ are constructed predominantly from timber, the worlds most replenishable construction material, and are insulated to a standard exceeding that of current Building Regulations.
