Grand Cascade Sochi
The Grand Cascade hotel complex is located in the center of Sochi on Kurortny Prospekt, surrounded by historical buildings and picturesque subtropical landscapes. Situated in a park area, the complex literally dissolves into the natural environment and does not dominate the landscape, maintaining a visual softness and delicacy of presence. The main concept of the interior design project is based on the synergy of heritage and modernity: architectural solutions harmoniously combine classical elements with cutting-edge technologies, ensuring high-level comfort and aesthetics.

The masterplan for Sochi's central waterfront is based on the principles of future-oriented design and the desire to create a world-class waterfront that will provide a sustainable future in harmony with the coastal environment. The requirement from the client was to design the house mainly from concrete in dark, neutral tones. It is supposed to be a house for year-round living, as well as a private country house with a working studio and the possibility of up to 10 guests. Besides, the outdoor space should include a covered area - a terrace, a shallow pond for relaxation, and the main desire was to create a high monumental fence to maintain secret and a sense of total privacy. CHALLENGE
Russia’s bid for the 2014 Winter Olympics was part of a broader goal to step back onto the world stage as hosts of major sporting events (the country’s last event was the Moscow Summer Olympics back in 1980). The challenge was threefold: to convince the International Olympic Committee that Russia had both the vision and the infrastructure to host such a major event; to develop the popular summertime coastal resort of Sochi into a world class destination for winter sports, and to design a stadium flexible enough to facilitate the Olympic ceremonies, then act as a venue for FIFA World Cup matches and, finally, become the home venue for a local football team.
