NOA’s wellness retreat design draws upon the elements of earth, water, air, and fire
In the latest wellness project by NOA, the design of a newly expanded spa at Puradies nature resort in Leogang, Austria, draws upon the elements of earth, water, air, and fire. These elements are reflected in varied forms throughout the project.

The area’s mountain vistas, lush meadows, small lake, and fresh air set the scene for the adventure-seeking ecotourist. In a design approach that was sensitive to the natural landscape, NOA created a structure in keeping with the setting. “Our idea was to integrate the new building as homogeneously as possible into the landscape and not to build a towering building,” says NOA architect Gottfried Gruber.

Aroma Town by WJ Studio incorporates thematic social and natural elements into a space for ultimate relaxation
In Shanghai, WJ Studio recently completed the design for the clubhouse Aroma Town. With the aim of differentiating their concept from other existing resorts, the design incorporates thematic social and natural elements into a space for ultimate relaxation.

The interior space is divided three key areas. The first is the aromatic region, which has a focus on flowers. There is also a tea-themed social living room for meetings and gatherings, and a food-themed private dining room. These three distinct spatial areas are unified by interconnected moving lines which extend to their respective courtyards.

Bali guest collective hotel concept offers a vision that radically departs from garish mass tourism
Far removed from Bali’s garish mass tourism, LOST LINDENBERG is a new guest collective hotel concept. Part of the Pekutatan community, a small Hindu village on Bali’s west coast largely untouched by tourism, the retreat is surrounded by temples, jungle, and near famous Medewi Surf Point.

Yuomori Onsen and Spa fuses minimalist Japanese aesthetics with local materials
In the middle of Bangkok City, Sixseven Studio (67s) has completed a new urban retreat that offers authentic Japanese onsen and Thai massage. The building comprises two parts: an old apartment building and new building, separating the function of onsen and spa treatment facilities.

More Design Office’s new treatment spa for Hong Kong-based MTM Skincare is a hidden gem accessed via a gently curving feature stair. Situated in Chengdu’s Taikoo Li, the 400sqm spa has 2 main functions, a retail-orientated ground floor where customers can have their skin analyzied by MTM’s consultants who can recommend custom-made skin products.
