This four bed family house sits in the heart of the Kent countryside surrounded by mature trees and gardens.   The house encompasses a mixture of framed and linear views across four carefully sculpted gardens that aim to each capture a piece of the surrounding landscape.   Inspired by the building and land topography of Dungeness, located on the south Kent coast, this house is a collection of five modules clustered around a central courtyard. AR Design Studio was approached by the clients who were looking to extend their holiday home on a cliff top on the South Coast. During the planning process, and following the unprecedented rainfall during the winter of 2014, there was subsidence close to the house and the decision was made to replace it entirely.   AR Design Studio was then tasked with designing a completely new home; the idea of movement and fracturing formed the backbone of the concept. Working closely with engineers Eckersley O’Callaghan, an imaginative structural solution was proposed to prevent future failure. We created a new urban bistro out of this cultural landmark in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia. A red canopy, topped by an aluminum goat silhouette, marks the entrance to this restaurant. We made extensive use throughout the space of recycled brick, wood siding and goat-related objects from our neighborhood Philadelphia Salvage Company. In addition, we designed a welcoming fireplace to warm the bar and dining areas, and updated the kitchen and overall infrastructure. In collaboration with Julia Blaukopf, we created custom wallpaper images of rustic local buildings and vegetation, chandeliers of tree rootballs and recycled bottles, and vintage seating. Live in wood project was designed and developed by PAO architects as a concept of prefabricated houses. As small living spaces whether it's cabins, summer houses or permanent living place for people who looking for privacy or compact house, young families, senior people, student housing, camping houses and etc. The idea of this concept was to create relatively cheap living solution for small land plots.
