Louis Vuitton Matsuya Ginza Façade Concept
The new façade of Louis Vuitton Matsuya Ginza is inspired by the history of Ginza, the city that used to be known for its art deco design. Ginza was the entrance of Tokyo, adjacent to Shimbashi, from which the very first railway station of Japan stretched to the port and led to the foreign Country. The “modern” atmosphere the forefront Ginza acquired derived from art deco patterns in relation to edo-komon, the pattern of traditional Tokyo and the highly abstract and stylizedgeometric pattern in repetition.

Using a Design-Build delivery model to get ARRA funds committed as quickly as possible and to get people back to work, the Design-Build team developed a highly productive and sustainable district headquarters for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The project exemplifies an integrated approach to architecture, natural systems, and technology to deliver a design solution that protects and enhances the environment. Allens Rivulet House
The house has a duality of character and experience defined by context. On approach its angular and severe form is a toughened abstract container, bracing itself against the robust Tasmanian landscape and weather. On passing through the “hollowed out” portals the warm and sheltering underbelly is exposed and acts as a protective envelope. These areas of inbetween, outside but surrounded by the building’s form are a result of a considered approach to outdoor living within typical Tasmanian weather condition, ie “4 seasons in one day”. They allow one to sit in the sunshine but avoid the cold winter wind, or alternatively sit outdoors but avoid the harsh high UV summer sun. Sagaponack
Located between the Atlantic Ocean and a freshwater pond, this residence is for an adventurous couple and their four sons. They wanted a house for their large family and numerous guests with a lawn, swimming pool, pool house, garage, and sports courts on a site with a limited building envelope due to coastal and wetland zoning. The large program, relatively small footprint, and daunting regulations dictated a building envelope densely packed with program that stood as a barrier between the ocean and the pond. Thus the design process was one of subtraction rather than addition: carving away at the solid mass of the house to reconnect site features and views and to distill the experience of the place.

The Glass Lantern
The minimal architectural form of the Apple Zorlu Glass Lantern is a result of the purest structural approach possible given the limits of material fabrication today. Side walls of glass, each 10m long x 3m high in single panels, support a seamless carbon fibre reinforced plastic (cfrp) roof panel.
The use of single panels of glass meant that each could be supported on just two points which helped accommodate the deflection of the supporting structure below and provided stiff shear walls for the transfer of seismic loads. The cfrp roof was fabricated in three sections, lightweight and easily transported and lifted into place. The new residence is a located on a large flat lot adjacent to a busy street. Our goal was to design a beautiful family home while minimizing street noise. It is essential that the outside world be left behind and our ides focused on creating a zone of decompression as you enter the property. The street is heavily screened with landscaping and high walls. The drive court is separated from the entry courtyard by a glass screen wall. The landscaped courtyard contains a water element to further screen noise and provide an attractive focal point. The house is laid out over two levels in an L shape configuration around the garden. Spark's design proposal dealt with the reinvention of the existing façade of Starhill Gallery facing Bukit Bintang. This reinvention of Starhill Gallery is designed by Stephen Pimbley, founding director of Spark and the architect behind Singapore’s hugely popular Clarke Quay.

Link the City to Nature
1. Project Description
A series of singularly designed gardens form a L-shaped linear open space, namely The Bridged Gardens, located in between the city and a big man-made naturalistic park (The Qiao Yuan Park), in the northern coastal city of Tianjin, China. The site was heavy polluted, littered, deserted, and scattered with slums and temporary structures. While both the Park and The Bridged Gardens were built simultaneously, this landscape as a whole was designed to not only improve local water and soil conditions, but to create an environment that celebrated the local culture and landscapes, and provide recreational opportunities for the surrounding communities of more than ten million residents.
