Acilia HS Medical Solutions
The project for the new headquarters of Acilia HS in Viareggio (Italy) was designed by architect Francesco Tombacco in 2009 with the aim of strengthening unity and recognising the company's image. The project, designed as a whole, relies on the language of light as its central role, as well as on the articulation of curved walls, in order to expand the spaces perceptively beyond the physical limits of the original enclosure.
Acilia HS Medical Solutions is an unusual, enveloping and reassuring workspace, where art objects, ironic papier-mâché sculptures and pieces of modern art are placed, personal aesthetic solutions enhanced by lines of light incorporated into architectural surfaces.

Cegeka is a family-owned IT solutions provider founded on craftsmanship that works in close cooperation with customers. These offices are B based in Hasselt (Belgium) and they include the following Flos' luminaires: USL 200 Pluto, USL 6060, Abajourd’hui, USO Boob and USL Out.

Within a so wide area growing over time and transforming itself for the changes of the functional and representativeness needs, we reflected upon and reinterpreted this temporal stratificationat best, by eliminating the dissonant architectural elements, by enhancing the noteworthy ones and by proposing two totally renovated architectures characterized by contemporary and coherent language. The building of the reception is marked by a new “prow-shaped” volume turning to the showroom building; the new volume hosts not only two new meeting rooms on the ground floor and a terrace on the upper one, but it can also “absorb” visually the cumbersome presence of the glass cube of the switchboard.
