The project for the new headquarters of Acilia HS in Viareggio (Italy) was designed by architect Francesco Tombacco in 2009 with the aim of strengthening unity and recognising the company's image. The project, designed as a whole, relies on the language of light as its central role, as well as on the articulation of curved walls, in order to expand the spaces perceptively beyond the physical limits of the original enclosure.
Acilia HS Medical Solutions is an unusual, enveloping and reassuring workspace, where art objects, ironic papier-mâché sculptures and pieces of modern art are placed, personal aesthetic solutions enhanced by lines of light incorporated into architectural surfaces.
Ceilings are transformed and moulded using the following FLOS luminaire systems: Kapprofile, Uso Boob, Usl 900 Disk and Kelvin LED. These have been perfectly integrated to create an overall feeling of luminous comfort and visual and spatial comfort.
