SAUVAGE VELVET

SAUVAGE VELVET is a jacquard velvet for upholstery with an animal-inspired design. This exquisite pattern creates a striped effect using the ombré technique. Ombré velvet is a fabric that features a smooth and gradual transition between two colours, creating a “gradient” effect. The word ombré comes from French and means “shaded.” This effect is achieved through a complex weaving technique that gives it a gradient appearance, making the fabric visually rich and luxurious. This jacquard velvet has a particularly soft, velvety, and luxurious feel. The gradient effect adds an extra layer of depth and visual impact. Sauvage Velvet combines strength, eccentricity, and sophistication, a fusion between... More

An Interior at Giomein Cervinia

co.arch’s project (Andrea Pezzoli and Giulia Urciuoli) in Cervinia is set within the Giomein complex, designed by Mario Galvagni and completed in 1972 on the homonymous promontory, overlooking the Breuil basin and the profile of the Cervino. Conceived during the peak expansion of Alpine tourism—new ski runs, cableways, infrastructure and holiday residences—Giomein interprets the mountain not as scenery but as a morphological and perceptual system against which architecture chooses to measure itself. Francesca Iovene The intervention concerns a domestic interior on the fourth and fifth floors, commissioned by a couple of art collectors. The apartment preserved a strongly defined decorative universe: jacquard fabrics a... More

Chipperfield completes limestone Kunsthaus extension in Zürich

At the virtual opening ceremony of the Zürich Kunsthaus Extension David Chipperfield expressed his delight over the common desire for quality of craftsmen and contractors that resulted in the immaculate realization of the new Swiss museum. © Noshe “The way we have selected and used materials follows the primary idea of exposing the load-bearing structure of the building, making it both visible and tangible. We have only added a few key materials, which dress the exposed concrete rather than cover it up: marble, brass and wood. In the construction phase, we were able to rely on Swiss craftsmanship, which draws on a long tradition and constantly pushes forward newdevelopments.”Jan Parth, Project architect at Davi... More

Teal modern kitchen

A modern, cool-toned kitchen and dining area - that was the idea. We decided on a classic white and off-white background with teal as an accent color, with black elements for contrast.  The design is simple, minimalist even, but what sets this interior apart are the high quality materials used. The necessary bit of warmth that makes the space inviting and cozy despite the cool color palette is the teal velvet used for furniture upholsteyry and decorative elements throughout the entire apartament.
