Building cohesion across a national workforce Terumo is a Japanese medical device company operating in more than 160 countries worldwide. With the lease coming to an end for their UK HQ, the decision was made to relocate to a contemporary business park that could better serve the team's needs.  The objective was to create inviting spaces that would work in two key ways - encourage their wider field-based workforce to come into the office more frequently, and create an effective regional hub to facilitate meetings with the wider European team. LASVIT PRESENTS "IN BLOOM", THE BEATING HEART OF HONG KONG’S NEW ZAHA HADID-DESIGNED LANDMARKLasvit, the award-winning design house specialized in glassmaking, is excited to announce the unveiling of "In Bloom," a site-specific glass installation created for the lobby of a new landmark building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects in Hong Kong, The Henderson. The piece, an abstract flower composed of butterfly and dragonfly wings, symbolizes the beating heart of the building and spans 4.5 meters in diameter.The designer of the installation, Michaela Mertlová (Lasvit Design Team) drew inspiration from her two-year stay in Hong Kong, a city known for its striking contrast between urban life and natural surroundings. 800 Fulton is a mixed-use office building that serves as a gateway to one of Chicago’s most active neighborhoods. With setbacks and landscaped terraces, this 19-story tower is scaled to match the Fulton Market District’s historic low-rise streetscape while also tying into the denser commercial area to the north. Rising from a three-story podium that aligns with Fulton Market Street’s scale, the building steps back in landscaped terraces planted with native species. The home designed by Rubén Muedra Estudio de Arquitectura is located in a small inner town of 1,000 inhabitants, to the south of Valencia, with a natural environment of great interest that gives rise to spectacular views from the house in medium and long distance.   The project is defined by two pure prismatic volumes, of different height, that as a response to the program of needs, and rotated among themselves 90 degrees, give rise to a large external patio on which the house overturns, and a double interior height that articulates the two floors.
