Bodega Garzón is located 60 km from Punta del Este, Uruguay. It is a vineyard that produces wines of high international quality with environmentally friendly processes while providing its visitors with the enjoyment of sociability in an architectural and natural landscape. The winery covers 15,240 m2 and has a capacity to annually produce 500,000 litres of wine. It includes a social sector with a restaurant, a wine bar, a multipurpose room, a lounge and a club with international membership. Situated on a prominent hill rising from the floor of the Okanagan Valley, the Mission Hill Winery is a complex intended to bring the winery facilities in line with the quality and demand for their wine. Once a nondescript facility, the new expansion began with the idea that the unique quality of the winery’s wine should be reflected in the quality of their visitor and production facilities. On the exterior, earth-toned concrete give the building forms an understated, contemporary aesthetic. Located in Dundee, Oregon in the heart of Oregon Wine Country, this 12,000 sf former vitamin factory off Hwy 99 was transformed into a state of the art communal natural winemaking facility and tasting room for Day Wines and 10 other winemakers. The design of the architecture and landscape and the materials selected are a reflection of the owner and natural winemaker, Brianne Day. Moving from the gravel parking lot to the winery, a covered loggia and vertical cedar screen, whose design is based on an unfolded wine barrel, enclose a courtyard and create a serene gathering space. The landscape of the Veneto region, where the Cantina ValpolicellaNegrar is located, is by nature an hybrid; a place where the boundaries between town and country are extremely fluid and controversial but highly rich in creative opportunities. The challenge that the rethinking of the WCC Negrar proposes, is the Re-establishment of a new relationship with this delicate Italian landscape.
