Moerenburcht
This project of 10 sustainable homes offers attractive communal living in a green environment, despite being situated at a tense railway junction on the frayed edge of the city.
The project’s name, Moerenburcht, establishes a connection between the nearby Moerenburg landscape park and the urban design concept of the development, which evokes the image of a closed settlement (burcht in Dutch) . This concept forms a logical response to the design challenge: creating an attractive residential environment between two busy railway lines.

Daylighthouse 2
The site of Daylighthouse 2 is next to the huge lake IJsselmeer. In between the lake and the house is a beautiful swamp for birds. Almere planned row houses on this location and the town house is the end of a row facing south west. Mirck Architecture translated the wishes of the client into a wooden cube of 9 by 9 by 9 meter. The facade, inner space and climate are influenced by sunlight and daylight. The particular structure of the cube is shown everywhere and continued in the plot wall and the shed.The ground floor living space is fully glazed to the south and west side. Centrumplan Plein Bergen
Baksteen, penthouses, bandvensters en terrassen
In 2006 namen wij deel aan de zogeheten Texaco-prijsvraag, nostalgisch genoemd naar het witte pompstation op het Plein, midden in Bergen (N-H). Op die Texaco-plek was een woningbouwproject gedacht, als onderdeel van de grote gemeentelijke herstructurering van het Bergense centrum. Het Plein zou daarin een dynamische plek worden als onderdeel van een winkelroute en in combinatie met woningbouw. Ons bureau won de prijsvraag met een L-vormig blok met winkels in de plint en appartementen in Bergense stijl, direct aan het Plein.
