APBA - Arquiteto Paulo Bastos eAssociados, founded in 1974 by the architect of the same name, is an office dedicated to the creation of Architecture, Urbanism and Landscaping projects, for different destinations and in the most diverse scales, as well as restoration and adaptation of historic buildings and listed properties for preservation.
The office has built its trajectory based on the conviction that Architecture is embedded in Culture, therefore it has a fundamental commitment not only to the society to which it is destined, but to the time and place where it is produced.
After the passing of Architect Paulo Bastos (FAU-USP *, 1959), in February of 2012, his partners, Architects Nelson Xavier (FAU-USP*, 1984) and Luciane Shoyama (FAAC-UNESP**, 1995) took over the business. The company’s corporate namewasmaintained in an effort to preserve the memory and work of its founder, a reference in Brazilian Modernist Architecture.
