Cedrus is a Tehran-based, research-driven design and construction studio founded in 2017 by Mohammad Mehdi Saeidi, which is supported by a passionate team of skilled architects and interior designers. The studio has always strived to overcome the limitations between design and construction and deliver the best quality of architectural ideas. Cedrus has designed and constructed several projects in architecture, interior, and landscape architecture. Cedrus Studio believes that proper and high-quality construction is a requirement of an experienced architectural team. Therefore, the team always tries to enhance their knowledge along with design skills and stay updated. The starting point of any project is to pay attention to its environmental, social, and economic aspects and to analyze the influential parameters of each project. It is the basic principle to consider the demands, desires, and differences between the clients of each project, which creates diversity in projects with similar contexts. Further principles of the Cedrus include discussion among the team members, special attention to the characteristics of the materials, and participation in construction observation to guarantee the final look of the building.
Expanding the studio scope to diverse areas of design at different urban scales is one of the future goals of Cedrus Studio. Cedrus attempts to move its design process towards sustainable and ecological construction.
