LOLA Landscape Architects studies and designs spatial transitions of LOst LAndscapes. With thoughtful ideas and targeted interventions, LOLA aims to design sublime places that are beautiful, surprising, and thriving. Adding unique and memorable experiences is key to all of their projects. LOLA designs public spaces such as parks and squares, works on redevelopment plans in the city and countryside, develops landscape transformation strategies, and performs spatial research. Founded in 2006 by landscape architects Eric-Jan Pleijster, Cees van der Veeken, and Peter Veenstra, LOLA’s Headquarter in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and regional office in Shenzhen (China) is composed of 40 team members ranging from landscape architects to architects and urban designers. Their body of work has received numerous awards such as the WAF China Awards for both Excellent Design and Best Landscape, WLA Honour Award, Rooftop of the Year Award, and the AAPME Award of Excellence.
