Tradition and commitment In the 1960’s and with an entrepreneurial spirit, Mariano Hervás founded MH Parquets y Tarimas on the outskirts of Sigüenza, in the province of Guadalajara. Today the company is expanding internationally maintaining the essence of the family values, being respectful with nature and using new techniques but keeping the tradition and origins that the family used to work with. The company´s first steps focused on the production of handmade mosaic parquet. Later, with the progressive mechanization of its facilities, production lines for new floor tiles were applied, while substantially increasing the company´s production capacity. During the last five decades MH Parquets y Tarimas has continued to incorporate the most modern industrial wood treatment techniques, making substantial investments in research and development in order to anticipate market demands. All the while, maintaining the essence and craftsmanship instilled by Mariano Hervás and transmitting the same values in his legacy. Now run by the founder's sons, Pedro and Javier Hervás, MH Parquets y Tarimas has become one of the leading national brands in the production of parquet and a forerunner in its sector. In its corporate philosophy MH emphasizes its innovative spirit and a deep respect for nature and instill in its suppliers the advantages of implementing sustainable forest management methods. As a result of their commitment to innovation and new product development, MH Parquet and Flooring created the first collection of designer flooring in 2009 with renowned designer and trendsetter Joan Lao. MH Parquet and Flooring is currently a leader in the production of parquet and tiles in Spain, combining efficiency and international presence from the province of Guadalajara.
