Founded in 2011 in Saint Petersburg, RHIZOME is a team of young professionals sharing a common interest in architecture and contemporary culture. Diverse experience of the group members combined with the cross-disciplinary approach result in the practice that redefines the technological and ideological basis of architecture. Focusing on the potential of the space, human factor and delicate work with the context, RHIZOME handles the conception and realization of design and architectural projects of various scales from urban and landscape planning to public interiors and product design. The team of 12 members also develops critical position on the architectural theory and design through writing, researching, lecturing and attending themed conferences.
