Tucked away in the back of a pizza joint, Frenchie is a delightful and unexpected fondue and wine bar that draws inspiration from classic French bistros, new wave film, and 70's punk rock.

Upon arrival, guests must walk through the takeaway section of a pizza restaurant as though entering a speakeasy. The entrance to the space is punctuated by a soft plasterwork archway and translucent glass partition before opening up into the small dining and bar area. In order to maximize the minimal square footage of the space, attention was focused on creating memorable moments out of carefully selected fixtures and furniture elements that would enhance the 'modern bistro with a twist' feel.

A gallery wall stretching the entire length of the spaces creates another focal point, including unexpected pieces such as vintage cigarette ads, photographs of French film icons, and punk rockers in Paris from the 70's. Another one of the finishing touches of the space includes an oil painted portrait of the restaurant owners' beloved French bulldog and namesake of Frenchie, found hanging on the wall at the back of the dining room.
