You can feel it from the first moment: This house is different to others. Visible restraint mixes together with the comfort of the nature-connected construction system. Glass accurately framed by black wood brings the long standing tradition of post + beam to the fore. Similar to the way in which the timber/glass construction of a DAVINCI HAUS home integrates the natural environment within the living spaces, here the internal rooms flow harmoniously into one another: The walls do not restrict you but connect you and create both horizontally as well as vertically a spatial structure which achieves the required openness but allows at the same time the possibility of retreat. Due to the flexibility of the DAVINCI HAUS construction system you are able to accommodate individual building plot restraints. Not one is the same as the other. By using the varying colours for the load-bearing timber structure, pergola beams and railings you are able to accommodate the varying styles needed for differing building environments. In the same way it is easy to increase the size of a house using extensions such as the flat roof extension between the show houses 1 + 2.

Pleasing Accents using Colour Placed in the higher region of the Westerwald, this show house is friendly and open. Black and white timber post + beam framing mostly glass. On the inside of the house splashes of colour create freshness. The dining area with its turquoise, sea blue and orange decorative elements invites you to relax just like the sofa with its cushions which pick up on the colours. In the same colour scheme the stair treads form the black staircase lead you up to the gallery on the upper floor, connecting the bedroom and bathroom like a promenade. A separate dressing room creates a living room atmosphere in the bedroom. Both the study and bathroom lead onto a shared balcony.

The house offers with its dimensions of 9.36 m x 9.36 m a total of almost 229 m² of living area on 3 floors of typical DAVINCI HAUS quality. This means: no visible bolting of the structure, the surface finishing of the timber construction is like that of furniture, pleasingly formed Tegalit roof tiles, wide cantilevered roof overhangs, underfloor heating on all floors, special thermal glazing, a comfortable height of 2.13 m of the internal doors, transparent acrylic rainwater fall pipes, planters on the balconies, and much more....

Stuffy Basements are long gone! The trend of working and living under one roof, something demonstrated in the median more and more, was the starting point for the show house build. The target was to erect three levels of the same qualities, although using the lower floor as office space provided a new challenge. Of course the office rooms could be easily converted into a separate apartment, a childrens wing, or even a fitness suite with swimming pool. Specially developed for hillside or mountainous projects, the pressures from the ground are held back using concrete retaining walls. In front of the retaining walls and on top of the foundation slab, the “house in the basement” is erected using the proven DAVINCI HAUS post + beam structure. Full height glazing on this lower floor creates light and transparency. Complicated work and details on the facade normally found with a concrete basement are eliminated. Living quality replaces the stuffy world of a basement although the build costs, with an equivalent fully fitted out concrete basement, are no higher. Optimized Energy Balance The use of ecological friendly alternative energy now plays a bigger role and DAVINCI HAUS offers its clients made to measure solutions for their homes. An example of this can be seen here as the house has an energy system which gains its energy from the ground. Using two 70 m deep boreholes the required energy is provided for the internally placed ground-source heat-pump. The constantly present ground heat provides, through a closed liquid circuit, the required energy for the heat-pump, independent of differing weather conditions, which then transfers the energy into the water based under floor heating.
