Our design creates a world-class cultural destination that celebrates India's rich history and evolution while accenting the Gujarat region's importance in that story. The museum complex will be an enriching experience that will delight, educate and inspire visitors, instilling a sense of pride for generations to come.
The Museum Complex is located on a commanding site overlooking the Narmada River. The river is central to a developing tourist district whose focus is the Statue of Unity, the largest statue in the world and a significant landmark for visitors. The new complex acts as a cultural gateway for the pilgrimage to the statue. It is visible from the Ekta entry to the district, from across the river, thereby attracting visitors and is directly accessed via the New Gora Bridge.
The site is dramatic and inspiring in consideration of the surrounding context. Designing the masterplan according to the surrounding site context, considering how MORKI and GVM correspond to the entirety of master planning.
