Stormen Concert Hall and Library

Stormen Concert Hall and Library, located in Bodø, Norway, is the recipient of the Norwegian Award for Building Design 2015. Barcelona based company Frapont played a large part in the construction of this cultural institution, as the company not only won the public tender for acoustic wall cladding in the concert halls, but also delivered and installed most of the flooring, including oak parquet and technical floors, as well various types of fixed furniture and technical doors. In the valoration of the jury, the building is described as follows:

“The award winner is an outstanding, beautiful and thoroughly planned work of architecture on a high international level. The two buildings melts in to the existing street structure and plays well with nearby buildings and the landscape in a way that enriches the center of Bodø. Together the architects and builder has created an impressive example of good building design.”
