Originally the plot is occupied by a school composed of adjoining buildings - a 1910s villa, converted into school offices, a building of classes of 2 levels, 1930s, and two low wings from the same time. The whole is quite heterogeneous, unbalanced and off scale in its suburban environment.
The buildings are restructured and intended for housing.
Two challenges are presented to the architect.
Reintegrate the composition into its urban setting and give it consistency and character.
It is naturally the ArtDeco spirit that will be put forward.
The buildings are deeply restructured, raised and rebalanced by new bodies.
The ensemble gains harmony and becomes a welcoming element on one of the points of entry into this city district.
